The first comparative benchmarks among AMD Fusion Ontario (AMD Fusion C-30) and Intel Atom Pinetrail is subject to a pair of Toshiba NB520 and Toshiba NB550D Netbook .
Eprice Hong Kong has published a review of the Toshiba NB550D netbook. What is most interesting, apart from the beautiful pictures, is the section of the benchmark, where the results are compared with those of the Toshiba NB520 netbook.
The comparison is particularly interesting because while the Toshiba NB550D model is based on AMD Fusion C-30 at 1.2 GHz, instead mounts the Toshiba NB520 common platform with Intel Atom N550 dual core processor.
The benchmark, which we have grouped into a single image showing the Toshiba NB550D results of the first and then the Toshiba NB520.

The Windows performance index, Intel Atom N550 processor assigns a score of 3.1, compared with only 1.9 points of AMD Fusion C-30. This is the result of the presence of a single core computing versus on the AMD logic 4 cores (2 x 2 physical cores with HyperThreading) of the Intel solution, although the former is exhausted by the order so it should be faster than its competitor.
PCMark05 provides no objective measure, perhaps due to an error of those who conducted the test or because the reference is not configured for the new AMD Fusion has not been able to complete the section of essay dedicated to graphics. CPU scores, but still the ports AMD Fusion C-30, however, narrowed the gap to the Windows Experience Index scored a few points..
Most favorable to the AMD system is the comparison of performance in 3D. The Toshiba NB520 netbook with Intel GMA 3150 integrated video card can barely complete the 3DMark06 session where the Toshiba NB550D integrated AMD Radeon 6250M video card gets a score of 1.700 points.
