Amazon Cloud Drive

Amazon already launched new “Amazon Cloud Drive.” A classic online storage service, with a base capacity of 5 gigabytes. Clearly, the name Amazon attracted many people, myself including. I decided to did some test, just to understand the service quality that offered. We start from the inclusion: by having some Amazon account. And must accept some agreements then we can be part of it.
Each Amazon Cloud Drive user has four standard folders (documents, music, pictures, videos), which can obviously changed. We can upload any file size 2 GB max, you can upload multiple files and move, copy or rename the files once online. The various screens are very simple and intuitive, everything have a classic file manager style that learned over past years, nothing more, nothing less.
By it’s 5 gigabytes of free storage, we can purchase additional space at an annual cost of $ 1 per gigabyte, for cuts that start at 20, up to a 1000 gigabytes.
Recital 1000 gigabytes of space precisely, and imagining the amount of files to manage, we come to the sore point of the service. All transactions must be conducted via the web, currently there is no program that can manage the Amazon Cloud Drive online space. Well, for me it’s a little bit dissapointing, because you need to keep a browser window open until the loading and unloading duties already complete. Among other things, a possible online backup feature, something we hope will be implemented in this regard.
Slightly different is the philosophy of Cloud Player. In this case, all MP3 purchases are already copied to your Amazon Cloud Drive space, and you can listen to them through the appropriate application for Android. Among other things, the preference between Android and iPhone, says a lot about the battle that involves operating systems for smartphones, manufacturers and online retailers.
In the other hand, I’m not really impressed with Amazon Cloud Drive service. It is obviously not the first born, is not that it has more space at all, does not seem to offer anything particularly innovative than the competition. It ‘s true that Cloud Player has its own ways to listen to the file online, but it is also true that you must have a connection, perhaps it is faster to increase the capacity of your player.
I’ve probably been a bit caustic and this is just a test phase, we will see by several months if Amazon will surprised me again with some special effect like Amazon Cloud Drive.
